Pupils from different social backgrounds and social risk families like a single parent families, families where parents work abroad, families who suffer the crisis, are studying in this school. The project will involve students in specific programs to encourage society, as well as work with students from different social backgrounds. Moreover in our school are studying pupils from various nationalities - Russian, Belorussian, Roma, Estonian, Polish, etc. Their integration process is carried on very successfully. Cultural differences are observed among pupils. On the one hand a lot of parents are unemployed, or the mother stays at home to take care of the family. On the other hand some parents have really good jobs and they do not have time enough to care for their children. Our main aim and goal is to educate sympathetic individuals who can ask, search, survey, observe and express themselves in a best way.
Jelgava State Gymnasium will participate in all levels of the project: participate in meetings, share examples of best practices, communicate with Regio 1 school/s, take part in all teaching sessions and run the training sessions, contribute to the reports and presentations. The school will be in cooperation and constant communication with the regional partners and in particular Regio 1 schools.
